Your kingdom come, your will be done

how often do we say the Lords pray and actually understand what we are saying.

Is such a profound prayer! But makes so much sense when you go through it. I won't bore you with the details but, this line has been going round in my head all week.

your kingdom come....

not our, or my, but God's!

what exactly are we asking for here, for Jesus to come back? For God to be revealed? For heaven to come to earth?

I don't know

you will be done..

again this is not my will, or our will, but God's will

now that takes faith! To say 'whatever your will is God, let it happen!' to say that and believe it is hard, but his burden is easy and his yoke is light. God wants us to be living sacrifices. This means EVERYDAY. Laying our lives down everyday, picking up our cross everyday. Allowing God's will to be done everyday!

God's will be done

even when we don't know where we are going

God's will be done

even when we are scared of the future

Gods will be done

Even when things seem conflicting

God's will be done

even when we don't understand

God's will be done!

I truly believe that Gods will has been made known to us, we just need to open our eyes to see it. The God that I know and understand, is not evil, vindictive, but loving and even disciplines us when needed.

but how can we know if God's will is our will, I hear you cry! Well... Ask him. Keep in constant communion with him, confess your sins daily and find out. If you knock, the door shall open, so ask.

ok, ok, so your waiting for a big neon sign to say..... 'THIS IS MY WILL....' well God doesn't always work like that. Its in the quiet still times when God speaks the loudest and clearest. God has given us all a passion and desire for something, I believe that's where his will starts, with you, so get praying.

oh yea of little faith, why do you doubt.
